Enquiries and Project Confirmation
Submitting an enquiry through the website does not automatically create a binding service agreement.
A project will normally be considered confirmed only after:
The project scope has been discussed;
A proposal, quotation or agreement has been approved;
Required information and permissions have been provided; and
The agreed advance payment has been received.
Any verbal discussion, estimate or initial concept is indicative unless confirmed in writing.
Pricing and Payment
Project pricing will depend on factors such as concept development, scripting, production scale, shoot days, locations, talent, equipment, travel, editing, animation, music, distribution and other requirements.
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes;
Payment milestones will be mentioned in the approved quotation or proposal;
Work may begin only after receipt of the required advance;
Final files may be delivered after full payment;
Additional work outside the approved scope may be charged separately;
Third-party expenses may require advance approval and payment; and
Delayed payments may result in the project being paused or delivery being postponed.
Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing complete, accurate and timely information required for the project.
The client must obtain all necessary permissions relating to:
People appearing in the film
Personal photographs, videos and documents
Private properties and shoot locations
Company information and brand materials
Testimonials and personal statements
Copyrighted music, photographs, footage or other third-party content
Children or individuals who cannot legally provide their own consent
The client confirms that all materials supplied to Social Cinema may lawfully be used for the agreed project.
We will not be responsible for claims arising from materials, instructions or information supplied without the required rights, permissions or approvals.
Creative Process and Approvals
Film production is a collaborative and creative process. The final output may vary from early references, mood boards, scripts, concepts, storyboards or sample visuals due to production conditions and creative execution.
The client will be provided reasonable opportunities to review and approve relevant stages of the project as specified in the proposal.
Approvals provided through email, WhatsApp, project-management platforms or other written communication will be treated as valid approvals.
Changes requested after approval may affect the cost and timeline.
Revisions and Scope Changes
The number and type of revisions included in a project will be mentioned in the approved proposal.
A revision means a reasonable adjustment to an existing approved concept or edit. It does not include:
Creating a new concept after the original concept has been approved
Reshooting approved footage
Changing the story direction after production
Adding new locations, talent, scenes or deliverables
Replacing approved music, voice-over or footage after finalisation
Re-editing the project for a substantially different purpose
Work beyond the approved scope may require a revised quotation and delivery schedule.
Timelines and Delays
Estimated timelines begin after receipt of the required payment, information, approvals and materials.
Delivery timelines may be affected by:
Delayed feedback or approvals
Changes in the approved scope
Talent or location availability
Weather and travel conditions
Government restrictions or permissions
Technical issues
Delayed payments
Third-party production dependencies
Events outside our reasonable control
Social Cinema will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delays and provide an updated schedule.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation and rescheduling terms may be specified in the project proposal.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, if a project is cancelled:
The client must pay for all work completed up to the cancellation date;
The client must reimburse non-refundable third-party costs and commitments;
Any advance payment will be adjusted against work completed and expenses incurred; and
Any refundable balance, where applicable, will be calculated after these deductions.
Shoot rescheduling may involve additional charges where locations, talent, equipment, travel or crew have already been booked.

All website content, including text, graphics, branding, logos, design, concepts, films, photographs and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Social Cinema and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Raw footage, editable project files, unused concepts and source files are not included unless agreed in writing;

The client may not sell, sublicense or materially alter the final work beyond the agreed usage rights without written permission.
